This Week!

This week we will be studying the busy, colorful Jungle. In Science we will be using technology to research the different speeds' of animals. We will then graph the results of the animals' speed using a bar graph. In Science we will also investigate adaptations that jungle animals use to survive. The class will be working on labeling jungles around the world on a map for Social Studies. Throughout the week each child will be working in Language Arts on creating a jungle poem. We will also be creating a jungle collage with various materials, textures, and shapes. These are just a few activities that we will be doing in our jungle fever week.

If you signed up for bringing a jungle snack this week please remember to bring it on your assigned day.

Theme

Parents I am thrilled about our theme for the next two months! We will be exploring different habitats along with their weather, location, animals, and plants. The four habitats that we will investigate are the Arctic, Grasslands, Jungle, and Desert. We will take at least a week on each topic or possibly longer depending on the interest of the students.
